“Marathon Queen” Elena Blinovskaya, accused of tax evasion and money laundering on a particularly large scale, will be in custody in the pre-trial detention center in Pechatniki. This was reported on Monday, January 22, by the press service of the capital’s prosecutor’s office.
The department clarified that after the court’s decision to tighten Blinovskaya’s preventive measure, she was placed in pre-trial detention center No. 6.
This women’s pre-trial detention center is located on Shosseynaya Street in the Pechatniki district in the South-Eastern Administrative District (SEAD) of Moscow.
According to two articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation that Blinovskaya is charged with, she faces up to three and up to seven years in prison, respectively. In addition, the investigation found evidence of the blogger’s involvement in the illegal circulation of payment instruments (Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The accused was under house arrest from the moment of her arrest, but its conditions violated more than once. This became the basis for the investigation to apply to the court with a request to tighten the preventive measure. As a result, Blinovskaya was sent from house arrest to real arrest.
At the same time, in December 2023, Blinovskaya filed a lawsuit against the Federal Tax Service, accusing the Federal Tax Service in making illegal decisions.
