The authorities of the Kherson region were puzzled by plans to send adults and children on vacation to other regions of the Russian Federation. On October 13, the head of the Saldo region turned to the country’s leadership with a request for help with the departure of residents to the Rostov Region, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, and Crimea. The move is argued by the fact that after joining Russia, the region is shelled daily, but there is a version that the authorities are in no hurry to voice – Ukraine is preparing a large-scale counteroffensive.

At today’s press conference, the leaders of the region answered the question of what the initiative is – evacuation or voluntary departure.

“Let’s start with the holiday, okay,” Vladimir Saldo began his speech, “Today is a very big, beautiful, and most importantly good holiday – the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, who protects us all. The entire leadership of the region is here now, so I will answer you this way – this is not an evacuation.

Anyone who wants to can go for treatment, rehabilitation, so that the military can do their job, and this does not threaten citizens. As for the issues related to the move, a headquarters, a “hot line” have been organized, specialists are working to help organize logistics. Organized buses, crossing the Dnieper. Those who want to leave go, but most of them stay in the city. We have a calm life, but this calmness must be confirmed by the military, and we must not interfere with them.”

According to Saldo, the organizational process has already started. Those who wish are already leaving. “There are not so many of them, but they are coming. From the whole region, and not just from the right bank. The first days, when children were delivered to pioneer camps in the Crimea, there was an impression that there would be tens of thousands of those who wanted to. “The regional and district authorities are working, everything is on the ground,” the head of the government of the Kherson region Sergey Eliseev shared with journalists, “There is a plan that is being implemented. Peaceful life continues.

We are responsible for providing the population with everything necessary: ​​Payment of pensions, salaries, preparation for the autumn-winter period, restoration of housing for those who suffered from shelling, therefore, establishing logistics and supplies of necessary supplies to the territory of the region, both on the left side of the coast, and and to the right. All logistics chains have been preserved and are functioning, there is confidence that we will be provided with everything necessary.”

Eliseev explained that the difficulties with fuel at gas stations that have arisen over the past few days are temporary. “There are times when we give priority to the delivery of other cargo and goods,” he said. .

However, in the Kherson region, many residents treat the forced departure with understanding. “The Kherson region just needs to be cleared of the civilian population during active hostilities,” Olga believes. – Give our military freedom of action. And so, they are practically immobilized, there is no room for maneuverability. Entrust the matter to professionals, let them just do their job on prepared ground. Actually, for this, a temporary departure of the civilian population is carried out, in order to save their lives. This is normal practice and there is nothing extraordinary about it. How is the procedure organized?

— The procedure is simplified as much as possible: a citizen calls our hotline number 7 800 301 99 99 and leaves an application for departure. Literally a day later he receives an invitation. People are taken out in groups to the left bank by boats, and then by buses to the Crimea and other regions. There people are settled in rest houses and boarding houses. Food provided. According to the reports, we have not received a single complaint, but only words of gratitude.

– What about people with limited mobility, people with disabilities?

“We help everyone. If these are groups with limited mobility, then we organize additional assistance when boarding transport and take this into account when checking in.
