The Ministry of Education was instructed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko to develop proposals for including some standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” into the physical education school curriculum. The Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation should also join the work.
It is assumed that the compulsory complex of physical development of schoolchildren will include throwing a sports equipment, shooting from an air rifle, as well as controlling a drone. In addition, students will again play the military sports game Zarnitsa, if they wish, they will go to camps for military sports shifts.
According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, the TRP system and military sports events are a powerful incentive for the development of mass and professional sports.
“The return of such disciplines as throwing sports equipment and shooting from an air rifle, as well as the introduction of a new discipline – drone control – will increase the interest of young people in the TRP complex, make their training more comprehensive and versatile,” said the Deputy Prime Minister. – Let me remind you that skills that develop coordination, accuracy, reaction speed have been part of the Soviet system of education and sports training for many years. Therefore, as they say, everything new is a well-forgotten old.

The implementation of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (TRP) was revived in Russia in 2015. Both children and adults can take the TRP standards: a total of 11 age groups are defined. Most often, the norms of the TRP are passed by high school students.
