Driver who hit 11 pedestrians in Kaluga arrested for two months

A court in Kaluga decided to detain a driver who caused an accident with 11 victims into custody for two months, the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
11 pedestrians were injured in the accident, 9 of whom were taken to medical facilities.
Earlier it was reported that a driver who ran into people at a bus stop in the center of Kaluga became a defendant in a criminal case. He was charged under paragraph “a” of the second part of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for punishment for violating the operation of vehicles and traffic rules while intoxicated, which led to the infliction of grievous bodily harm through negligence.
