The Koptevsky Moscow Court partially satisfied the claim of the former municipal deputy Yulia Galyamina (recognized as a foreign agent) and ordered her to be reinstated as a teacher at the RANEPA. In December 2022, her fired from the post of Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Media Communications of the Institute of Social Sciences after being entered into the register of foreign agents.

As Ms. Galyamina reported on her Telegram channel, the court also recovered 115,000 rubles. with RANEPA for illegal dismissal as a salary, another 10 thousand rubles. – as a compensation. At the same time, in the lawsuit, she demanded compensation in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.

According to Ms. Galyamina, she will be fired again, but in compliance with the necessary procedures. She told the publication sotathat a lawsuit was filed in order to obtain compensation, and the court reinstated her due to violations committed by the personnel department. At the same time, she believes that she is unlikely to continue teaching because of her status as a foreign agent.

The Ministry of Justice entered Yulia Galyamina into the register of foreign agents on September 2, 2022. According to the law “On Control over the Activities of Persons Under Foreign Influence”, a foreign agent cannot conduct teaching activities in state and municipal educational organizations.

On December 27, Mrs. Galyamina announced that the leadership of the RANEPA offered her to switch to “non-pedagogical and non-scientific positions.” If she refused, they promised to fire her. Yulia Galyamina then stated that “this is a completely different profession,” so she refused to be transferred to another position.

In 2020, Yulia Galyamina was given a two-year suspended sentence under an article on repeated violation of the rules for organizing demonstrations (Article 212.1). In the summer of that year, she participated in a rally against amendments to the Constitution. Since 2017, she has been a municipal deputy of the Timiryazevsky district. In 2021, she was stripped of her mandate.
