Director Vitaly Mansky was put on the federal wanted list, his card appeared in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the Telegram channel “VChK-OGPU”, a criminal case of libel was opened against the director because of the words in an interview with Sobchak that 85% of the budget allocated for the Moscow International Festival is being embezzled.
“Nikita Mikhalkov was offended, and the lawyer-solver Pavel Astakhov was involved in the organization of the case. Earlier, he concocted a similar case on the publication of our Editorial Board, which did not allow Astakhov’s son to be impudently smeared from the criminal case on billions of embezzlement,” the publication notes.
Mansky himself told RBC that he had left the territory of Russia. At the same time, he noted that he did not yet know what exactly the essence of the claims of Nikita Mikhalkov, who wrote a statement to the police against him, was.
“I have not seen this statement, but I heard about it from the media. It looks like he really [Михалков] did it [написал заявление в полицию]. I have no official documents… honor and dignity – he has some such claims that he is not a thief, that he is an honest person. He seems to want to prove it. I don’t know how he can do it. I don’t live in Russia, I don’t visit Russia, I haven’t received any applications,” Mansky explained.
An interview with Ksenia Sobchak, who said that she was a witness in the case, was given by Mansky on May 16.
