Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy said in an interview “Parliamentary newspaper”, that in Russia they may begin to persecute those who file false denunciations against families. He noted that Russian guardianship authorities are built on the basis of Western “juvenile approaches.” The politician emphasized that false denunciations against the family are an important part of this approach. The state, he said, should protect the family, and not deprive citizens of their parental rights and engage in “senseless matters.”
Earlier, the State Duma stated that the introduction of a tax on childlessness was unacceptable. Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, emphasized that this is discrimination against people who do not have children.
