The construction of five apartment buildings for refugees evacuated from the Gaza Strip has begun in the Chechen Republic. The houses will be located in the Visaitovsky district of Grozny, said the Telegram head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov.
According to the head of the republic, the construction of the houses was financed by the Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov Foundation. He clarified that the buildings have 35 apartments with a total area of 4.2 thousand square meters. m. The head of Chechnya also published a video in which he starts the construction of houses. The event is also attended by Palestinian refugees and the leadership of the republic.
As a RIA Novosti correspondent reports, Chechen Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev said that 30 refugees will be employed in the near future, 27 of them in the healthcare sector. According to Akhmed Dudayev, each Palestinian family will receive 100 thousand rubles from the Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov Foundation. The Republic’s Ministry of Education plans to organize Russian language courses for Palestinians, the agency reports.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations for Chechnya reported that the republican authorities are ready to accept 250 Palestinian refugees. First group of refugees arrived to Chechnya at the end of November. She was placed in the village of Avtury, Shalinsky district, on the basis of the children’s health camp “Mountain Key”.
