Famous Russian figure skater, Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov is in intensive care with pneumonia. This was reported to journalists by Maxim Stavisky, he is the choreographer of ice shows, in which the famous athlete participates.
According to Stavisky, Kostomarov is on a ventilator. Doctors have not yet confirmed the diagnosis of coronavirus. Stavisky said that Kostomarov became unwell during the show: he coughed, but the temperature did not rise. Therefore, Roman did not seek help from doctors, as he did not see any special reasons for this.
Roman Kostomarov is the 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing. Together with his partner Tatyana Navka, he also won two world championships and three European championships. After completing his career, Kostomarov performed in commercial shows. On New Year’s holidays, the athlete participated in the program of Ilya Averbukh “The Wizard of Oz”.
