China launches Queqiao-2 satellite to link future lunar missions with Earth
The Chinese Queqiao-2 spacecraft, designed to provide communications with China’s future lunar missions, has set off for the Moon, reports spacenews.com.
The 1,200-kilogram relay satellite is equipped with a 4.2-meter parabolic deployable antenna and other equipment.
One relay satellite is already operating on the Moon and communicates with the Chang’e-4 mission, which is operating on the far side of the Moon.
