ChatGPT bot sets world record for download growth

Chatbot chatGPT has set a world record as the fastest growing app by number of downloads, Reuters reported, citing a study by financial holding UBS Group.
In two months, the number of users of the application reached 100 million, and 13 million use the application daily. “For twenty years <...> we cannot recall faster growth,” analysts said.
The Chinese social network TikTok took about nine months to achieve such indicators, and Instagram (the social network belongs to Meta, a recognized extremist organization and banned in Russia) – 2.5 years, Reuters noted.
In November 2022, the American company OpenAI, one of the founders of which was businessman Elon Musk, launched the chatGPT chatbot, which is capable of generating texts, writing codes and answering questions. The neural network was able to collect the first million users in just five days.
On February 1, the Russian State University for the Humanities (RGGU) proposed restricting access to the neural network and called the emergence of chatGPT “a new challenge related to the use of neural networks and artificial intelligence in scientific and educational activities.” On the same day, the press service of the institution reported that specialists and the scientific community of the Russian State University for the Humanities would analyze the diploma written by the neural network.
