Musician Boris Grebenshchikov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) in an interview with the Financial Times explained the reason why he does not perform in Ukraine. According to him, “half of Ukrainians think: “Oh, a good Russian is a dead Russian.” Grebenshchikov, as he told the publication, receives many such letters.
Now BG lives in London and is working on a new album – the musician performs under the pseudonym BG+. Grebenshchikov left the Aquarium group he founded because, as he explained, part of the team supported the SVO.
He has no plans to come to Russia in the near future, as “it might be a little dangerous.” “I think not only about how to help Ukrainians, but also Russians,” Grebenshchikov noted. “Because they are in a terrible situation.”
In March last year, it was announced that all Aquarium concerts would be canceled “until better times for obvious reasons.” After this, BG left the country.
