The prosecutor’s office checks school meals in Krasnoyarsk – Kommersant

The Krasnoyarsk prosecutor’s office demands the initiation of a criminal case of negligence (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in connection with the improper organization of school meals, the department reports in its Telegram channel. A proposal to eliminate violations has been submitted to the head of the city, as well as to food operators. An administrative case was initiated against the deputy head of the main education department for violating the rights of students (Part 2 of Article 5.57 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).
It is noted that since the beginning of the school year, a breakdown in the preparation and organization of meals has been identified in 77 out of 101 general education institutions in the city, where these issues are provided by the municipal institution “Directorate for the Organization of School Meals.” Direct services are provided by the organizations Interregional Catering Company and KrasPit. In the mayor’s office, the main department of education and the department of social development are responsible for this area, the prosecutor’s office reports.
Previously “Kommersant-Siberia” reported the poisoning of three students from school No. 86 in Krasnoyarsk. The teenagers were taken to a medical facility with an acute intestinal infection. Regional Rospotrebnadzor is conducting an investigation into this fact.
