Soloists of the Bolshoi Theater presented the ballet “The Nutcracker” at the Mayakovskaya station of the Moscow metro. A unique performance could be seen on the night of December 22-23 as part of “Night in the Metro.”
Bolshoi Theater soloists Kristina Kretova and Igor Tsvirko appeared on the improvised stage. The ballet was accompanied by an orchestra.
The ballet dancers themselves admitted that it was difficult to adapt to the size of the improvised stage, since it is approximately 20 times smaller than the theater stage.
It was impossible to get to the ballet from the street. Tickets were raffled off on Moscow Metro resources on social networks. They went to the authors of the best wishes addressed to the capital’s subway.
