The ferry service between Sakhalin and the mainland has resumed operation
The ferry crossing Kholmsk (Sakhalin) – Vanino (Khabarovsk Territory) between Sakhalin and the mainland has resumed operation, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Sakhalin Region.
Reportedly, the crossing was previously interrupted due to a cyclone. After weather conditions improved, ferry service was resumed from 14.00 (8.00 Moscow time).
RIA Novosti notes that the crossing has not been operating since Friday. The cause was a strong cyclone that affected the entire Gulf of Tatar.
