Bloomberg: Apple Files Three Trademark Applications For VR/AR Headset

The US corporation Apple, through a shell company, applied for the registration of three trademarks “Reality Pro”, “Reality One” and “Reality Processor” in jurisdictions of different countries, including the UK, Canada, the USA, the European Union, etc., informs Bloomberg agency. According to the publication, these marks can be used to refer to virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) gadgets.
It is clarified that the applications were not filed by Apple itself, but by a third-party firm Immersive Health Solutions LLC, which may act in the interests of the corporation. It was registered in February by another shell company, Corporation Trust Co. from Delaware, which is commonly used for filing by firms seeking to avoid detection. A similar scheme has taken place before – when registering the RealityOS trademark for software, Bloomberg emphasizes.
Apple plans to unveil its first AR headset as early as next year at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). It is assumed that the device at number 301 may be called “Reality Pro”. This will become one of the most expensive and powerful devices on the market. Devices with code names #602 (updated version #301) and #421 (augmented reality glasses) will not be officially introduced until the end of 2030. It is also clarified that trademark applications have not yet been approved, so it is not yet known whether future devices will be Apple to bear any of these names.
Apple’s headset is expected to integrate virtual and augmented reality technologies, allowing the company to compete more closely with leading virtual reality equipment supplier Meta Platforms Inc. (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
