Bloomberg: Apple abandoned plans to increase the release of the iPhone 14

Apple refused to increase production of the iPhone 14, as the demand for a new line of smartphones was not as high as the company had hoped. This is reported Bloomberg with reference to his own sources in the American corporation.

According to the agency, Apple management has already instructed suppliers to refuse to increase production by 6 million units in the second half of this year. The company plans to release a total of about 90 million devices in the second half of the year – about the same amount was produced in the same period last year.

At the same time, according to sources, the demand for premium versions of the iPhone 14 was higher than for cheaper versions of the model. That is why suppliers began to redistribute capacity in favor of more expensive versions of the smartphone, writes Bloomberg.

Apple itself declined to comment on information about adjusting release plans.
