Education in schools in Shebekinsky district will remain remote due to shelling
The format of education in the schools of the Shebekinsky District in the 2023–2024 academic year will remain remote due to proximity to the border with Ukraine and daily shelling. The governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov informed about the extension of the format. He noted that over the past day – August 4 – 9 arrivals were recorded in the Shebekinsky district (over 70 in the entire Belgorod region).
During the live broadcast, a resident of the Shebekinsky district turned to Vyacheslav Gladkov: “Please do at least the basic subjects in person without any extensions and extracurriculars so far.” The governor replied that it was not yet possible to return full-time education in Shebekino schools due to the proximity to the border and the daily shelling of the district.
“We understand the flight range of shells and mines,” the head of the region said. “This does not allow us to introduce face-to-face training.”
