Deputy head of the Ministry of Transport Chalik: special zones for UAVs will be set aside in settlements
Deputy head of the Ministry of Transport Igor Chalik said on Saturday that special zones will be set aside in Russian settlements where flights of unmanned aerial vehicles will be allowed, RIA Novosti reports.
Flights of amateur drones will be allowed in these zones, the deputy minister specified. The Ministry of Transport will allocate plots for these purposes at the request of local authorities.
According to Chalik, from September 1 next year, the use of agricultural drones and amateur drones will be simplified in the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that 100,000 specialists are now needed to provide an operator for each drone registered in the Russian Federation. A more precise number of required personnel will be determined based on the results of additional studies.
