Beaches reopened in Sochi after heavy rains

Volley showers have stopped in Sochi. In this city of the Krasnodar Territory, clear weather has again set in. Closed on July 9 due to rain, the beaches of the resort are again available for swimming to everyone. The work of recreation areas along the Mayak central embankment in Sochi has been fully resumed. The beaches have all the necessary infrastructure. Cafes, shops, attractions and other entertainment facilities operate as usual. After the last storm, places for rest were cleared of debris.

Previously, in the federal territory of Sirius, the beaches were closed due to showers from July 9 until the end of the storm warning. The Sochi administration reported that they planned to open coastal recreation areas on July 13.

The popular city beach “Riviera” with a long coastline, near which the eco-beach “Ostrov” is located, is also open to the public and operates according to its own schedule. At present, clear, almost cloudless weather has settled in Sochi. The air warms up to +26°C and above. The water temperature in the sea is +23.8°C, so it is very comfortable for swimming.

Formerly MK informedthat the residents of Sirius affected by flooding due to volley rains will be paid monetary compensation. Monitoring groups work in the region, the operational headquarters helps citizens in collecting the necessary documents. According to official figures, almost 500 households have already been surveyed and 252 acts of damage have been drawn up.
