At the Kerch crossing, the movement of ferries was suspended due to bad weather, Kommersant was told in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies in the Republic of Crimea.
According to experts of the emergency department, a storm warning continues to operate in the strait area. “Due to the worsening weather conditions, the operation of the crossing will be limited. According to weather forecasts, until 21:00 Thursday (today, December 1.— “b”) in this zone, the east, northeast wind of 12-17 meters per second will continue,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations specified.
Recall, by data The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, from the beginning of the resumption of the operation of the Kerch ferry crossing from the night of October 9 to December 1, a total of 39,848 passengers, 26,633 vehicles and 3,119 railway cars were transported through the strait in both directions. The ferries operating on the line made a total of 887 trips.
