The authorities of the Russian Federation propose to increase fines for driving without OSAGO to 5 thousand rubles
The fine for driving without a compulsory third party liability insurance policy (OSAGO) can be increased from 800 to 5 thousand rubles with gradation for individuals and legal entities.
This was announced on Tuesday by the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexei Moiseev, speaking in the Federation Council.
“I think it’s certainly not 800 rubles anyway,” he said of the planned increase.
According to the deputy head of the Ministry of Finance, “it should be at least 5 thousand.”
Thus, Moiseev answered the senators’ question about how much fines for driving without OSAGO could be increased.
At the same time, he added that it might make sense to make different fines for legal entities and individuals.
