Aksyonov proposed to cancel the inspection of cars at the exit from the Crimea

The Crimean authorities proposed to cancel the inspection of trucks entering the territory of the Kherson and Rostov regions, the head of the region Sergey Aksyonov told reporters.

According to him, this must be done to reduce the queues at the control points of the land corridor connecting the peninsula with the mainland of the country. “They made a proposal, which was previously supported at the federal level, so that at the exit from Crimea they would not inspect the cargo, they would not check cars at all, only passport control. Similarly, at the exit from the Rostov region to the DPR,” the governor noted.

He also said that by May, the travel time through checkpoints on the Crimean bridge should not exceed an hour at peak times. For this, five additional screening lanes and special complexes will be introduced, and the number of employees will be increased.

Recallin mid-March, a traffic jam 3 km long formed on the Crimean bridge from the Krasnodar Territory due to technical malfunctions at one of the inspection points.
