Australia confirms wreckage from SpaceX spacecraft has fallen into the country

The Australian Space Agency confirmed on Wednesday that the wreckage of a SpaceX spacecraft owned by Elon Musk was found in the country, in the state of New South Wales.
Earlier it was reported that local residents heard a loud bang in July. It was considered to be the moment the Dragon cargo ship entered the Earth’s atmosphere.
It is assumed that the remains of the old SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, which delivered cargo to the ISS, were found. Experts believe that when returning to the Earth’s atmosphere, the rocket burned out.
On Wednesday, ABC reported that the agency confirmed that the fragments found are related to the SpaceX mission. They also said that they continue to interact with their American colleagues.
Three wrecks were found in the Snowy Mountains region. One is in the sheep pen. It is believed to be the largest space debris found in Australia since 1979.
There may be more of them in the region. The agency warned residents of the state not to try to extract them if found, but to immediately call the SpaceX hotline or send an email to the company.
