State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin believes that the allegedly Ukrainian attacks on Russian officials, journalists and military correspondents were carried out with the aim of “intimidating and destroying those who tell the truth.” He also noted that the FSB was able to prevent most of these attacks.
“Left without the conductors of their ideology, Washington and Brussels are doing everything to crack down on the leaders of public opinion, those who love Russia and defend history and national values. The bloody Kyiv regime organized terrorist attacks: the murders of military commander Vladlen Tatarsky, political scientist Daria Dugina, an attempt on Zakhar Prilepin, ”he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Viacheslav Volodin stressed that the FSB was able to prevent assassination attempts on TV presenters Vladimir Solovyov, Margarita Simonyan, Dmitry Kiselyov and others, as well as on the founder of the Tsargrad TV channel Konstantin Malofeev, the head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, the mayor of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko and other officials. “These attacks were intended to intimidate and destroy those who speak the truth,” he added.
Yesterday, on May 6, a car exploded in the Nizhny Novgorod region, in which there was a writer and ex-deputy of the State Duma Zakhar Prilepin. As a result, his bodyguard, who was driving, died. Mr. Prilepin was injured. Today, May 7, he was taken out of drug sleep, said Head of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin. The ICR qualified the incident as a terrorist attack. The suspect was detained. He pleaded guilty and stated that he acted on instructions from the SBU.
