The defendant’s text message was voiced during the reading of the search protocols
The Nikulinsky District Court held a regular hearing in the case of fraud on an especially large scale at the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (“Shaninka”). The former Deputy Minister of Education Marina Rakova, the former rector of Shaninka Sergei Zuev and other accomplices are accused of embezzlement.
At today’s court session, the new state prosecutor read out volumes and pages of the protocols of the search and seizure of each accused. The lawyers carefully wrote down the pages, which in the future will need to be carefully studied. In the main, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, documents in the form of reports, income statements, flash drives, etc. were subject to seizure. Having reached the 25th volume, the state prosecutor, pretty tired, wanted to stop reading the pages. However, the lawyers asked to voice everything.
Oddly enough, but among the seizure of equipment and documents, one of the outgoing messages found on Marina Rakova’s phone was voiced: “Boss, somehow I didn’t have time to talk with employees yesterday.” The state prosecutor paid attention to the correspondence of Marina Rakova, but did not voice it in full, naming only the pages of the volume. This time, Judge Bobkov also chastised lawyers for misbehaving in court, when some began to argue with the state prosecutor, asking him to reread the pages of the cases. As a result, the prosecution stopped at the 49th volume. The next meeting was scheduled for May 2.
