The competition of school and student productions of the project “Knowledge.Theatre” has started

The Russian society “Knowledge” together with the Russian Movement of Children and Youth launched a competition for the best production of the educational performance “Difficult Exam”.

School, student and mixed theater groups can take part in the competition. To do this, they need to register their troupe on the project website before May 15: https://theatre.znanierussia.ru/?ysclid=lftvrt4xs912196174.

Acceptance of creative works will begin on May 1 and will last until June 30. As a competitive task, the participants of the competition must put on the play “Difficult Exam”, show it to the audience and send a video recording of the show for expert evaluation. The “guide” for the contestants will be methodological materials prepared by the Znanie society, in particular a video tutorial on creating a play and a methodological guide with detailed information about the stages of staging, the tasks of the director, actor and representatives of backstage professions. The site also has a video recording of the play “The Difficult Exam”, staged by director Yuri Kvyatkovsky, laureate of the “Golden Mask” award.

The competition works will be evaluated by the Expert Council of the competition, which includes figures of art and culture. Until mid-August, they will make a rating of teams in each region of Russia. The winners will have the opportunity to perform on the professional stage in their region. The winner of the Grand Prix will be the team that takes first place in the ranking of laureates – it will perform at the Moscow theater stage.

According to the Director General of the Russian Society “Knowledge” Maxim Dreval, the competition of school and student productions will help the children become not only spectators, but also direct participants in the educational performance.

“The Knowledge.Theater project shows that education can take a variety of forms, and everyone can participate in educational activities,” Maxim Dreval said. – I am sure that soon we will see many interesting productions of the play “Difficult Exam” performed by youth groups from all over the country.

The competition for the best staging of the play “Difficult Exam”, which takes place within the framework of the All-Russian educational project “Knowledge. Theatre”, is being implemented this year in partnership with the “School Classics” project of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth “Movement of the First”. It was first held in 2022. Then 420 works from 68 regions of Russia were submitted to it. The best work was the play “Difficult Exam” by 29-year-old Gulnara Iskalieva from Astrakhan.
