Residents of Vilnius were surprised to report the disappearance of the asphalt laid before the NATO summit, RIA Novosti reports.
The event was held in Vilnius from 11 to 12 July.
The report says that before the start of the summit on the busy Lepkalne Street, active road work was underway to lay asphalt. The message about the disappearance of the cover was confirmed by a journalist from the LRT publication.
“Residents of Lepkalne Street in Vilnius are confused: the new asphalt laid before the NATO summit has disappeared,” the message says.
At the same time, the city authorities reported that the work on laying the asphalt pavement could not be completed before the start of the NATO summit, and they are currently ongoing.
