Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” interrupted the unbeaten streak of matches. The Khabarovsk club “SKA-Neftyanik” managed to win the match of the preliminary stage of the XXXI Russian Bandy Championship.

The match was difficult for both teams. SKA-Neftyanik from the first minutes began to show an active game and create scoring chances. As a result, in the 11th minute, the player of the Khabarovsk team Alan Dzhusoev scored the only goal in this match – from a corner kick.

“Vodnik” in the first half managed to create only one dangerous chance, which, unfortunately, was not crowned with success. The teams went into the locker room with a score of 0:1, without deletions and stoppages of the game.

But in the second half, things began to take a completely different turn. The second half of the match began with a team warning to the Vodnik players, and then Sergey Kalinin was sent off for ten minutes for hitting an opponent with a club. Then, one after another, both teams received three removals – the last two already in extra time of the match.

Many viewers of the match (both at the stadium and in the comments on the live broadcast of the Region 29 TV channel) considered the removal of the captain of the “yellow-greens” at the 67th minute of the game to be a strange decision, but the judges explained this by Evgeny Dergaev’s “unsportsmanlike behavior”. By the way, without a commander, the watermen still created a dangerous moment, but the Neftyanik goalkeeper managed to save the situation.

The most tense in the second half of the game still did not allow the guests to consolidate their success, and the home team to even the score. The match ended 0-1 after more than three minutes of extra time. According to preliminary data, today’s game was attended by 6600 spectators.

Unfortunately, for “Vodnik” it was the first defeat in this championship. Having scored 50 points, the Arkhangelsk team falls to the second line in the standings. In the meantime, the Kemerovo “Kuzbass” came out on top, having won today the Nizhny Novgorod “Start” with a score of 5:3.

It should be noted that the Vodnik team will play their next match on the road – at the home stadium of Ural Trubnik (against the home team) in Pervouralsk.
