An underground city that can survive the end of the world has been opened by one of the local companies in the United States of America. Metro reports this.
It is noted that the giant shelter can accommodate ten thousand people. It is organized on the territory of a former military base in the mountains of the American state of South Dakota. A similar shelter, but smaller in size, was previously opened in Indiana. Another one is being built in Germany.
The executive director of the company that organized the underground city, Dante Vicino, said that over the year the number of people wishing to reserve a place in the bunker increased by more than 2000%, and sales increased by 300%.
Shelters are designed to operate autonomously without contact with the surface for at least one year. One place in a personal bunker in South Dakota costs 55 thousand dollars (or about five million rubles at the current exchange rate). In Indiana, those who want to survive the end of the world will pay 35 thousand dollars – 3.2 million rubles per person. It is noted that holders of skills in short supply can count on a discount.
