Representatives from nine countries joined the tournament. The list includes Russia, Egypt, CAR (Central African Republic), Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan. Participants aged 17-18 will compete for awards in 13 weight categories. The head of the sports department of the Central African Republic, Christian Gubongo, acted as guests of honor at the event. He noted:
“The tournament provides an excellent opportunity for Central African boxers to showcase themselves and improve their skills. Let me remind you that our athletes participated in boxing tournaments in Russia back in 1976 and 1985 back in the Soviet Union. Now a new chapter of relations between our countries is opening, friendship and sport should unite us.”
