Sri Lanka has started issuing free visas to seven countries, including Russia. This was reported by the government information department of the island state.
According to the source, those who want to visit the country must apply for an electronic permit in advance. Thus, tourists can stay in Sri Lanka for 30 days free of charge. Previously, the cost of a visa for Russians was 3,050 rubles.
Double entry into the country is allowed from the first day of stay in Sri Lanka for 30 days.
In addition to Russians, the authorities of the island state will issue visas to citizens of China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan.
