The government supported a bill extending a number of social guarantees and benefits for mobilized and contract soldiers to National Guard volunteers and members of their families. This is reported “News” with reference to the draft review of the government commission on legislative activities.
The supported draft was adopted in the first reading in October. Among the proposals of the authors of the initiative:
- preserve for the duration of the contract for the volunteers of the Russian Guard their places of work and social and labor guarantees;
- spouses of volunteers with minor children will be given the advantage of remaining at work when staffing is reduced;
- If the spouse of a volunteer is raising children under 14 years of age, it is prohibited to send them on business trips, overtime, work at night, on weekends and non-working holidays without written consent.
In October, State Duma deputies adopted five bills related to the activities of the Russian Guard. First approved three bills allowing department to form volunteer detachments by analogy with the Ministry of Defense, provide benefits to these volunteers and exempt them from paying personal income tax, state duties for issuing a passport or driver’s license. Also were accepted two bills introducing criminal and administrative liability for the dissemination of false information about the activities of volunteer detachments of the Russian Guard.
