Almost half of Russians were ready to leave their pet

The Russian express delivery operator SDEK, together with the dog walking service Guldog, conducted a survey among citizens and found out how many people are ready to leave their pets when moving to another city or country, giving them to their loved ones, putting them to sleep or leaving them on the street. The results of the survey are RBC.
As a result of the study, it became known that 47% of citizens are ready to take such steps when moving.
It is reported that 1,502 residents of all federal districts over 18 years old took part in the survey. As respondents, 52% were men, 48% were women.
It is noted that 73% of respondents who answered positively to the question posed, completely exclude the option of “euthanizing” or “sending their pet outside” – we are talking about transferring the animal to good hands, relatives and friends.
