Such a statement was made yesterday by Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, speaking at a marathon dedicated to the start of the new season of the Big Change contest. According to him, theaters should appear in every school in the country by the end of 2024.
– School theaters are a unique resource. It helps young people to fulfill themselves, to try themselves as actors, directors, to study literary works, not just in the classroom at the lesson, but by immersing themselves in its content during its production on stage,” the minister said.
Now about 30 thousand school theaters have been opened in schools, last year there were about 7 thousand. The theater in educational institutions is very popular with children, and schoolchildren often advocate opening it themselves.
According to Maria Zakharova, director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the project of creating school theaters allows us to develop and preserve the culture of our country.
– It is very important to build ties that unite theater groups from all over Russia. School theater projects may also include schools at Russian embassies and children living abroad. In recent years, many interesting online programs have been created that will allow them to master the basics of theatrical art in theory and practice,” said Maria Zakharova.
