On January 18, the Ivanovo Tekstilshchik football players played their first test match as part of their training camp. The team from Ivanovo returned from vacation on January 12 and began preparations with the start of the spring part of the 2023-2024 season in Novorossiysk. In the first test match of the off-season, Tekstilshchik played against Saratov Sokol, a representative of the First League, which is now fighting for survival. In the meeting against Sokol, goalkeeper Alexey Smirnov played his first match after returning to Tekstilshchik. Previously, Alexey played for Tekstilshchik from 2018 to 2022, but after the red-blacks were relegated, he went to KAMAZ and played very little there. In December, Alexey returned to Ivanovo and will definitely strengthen the Tekstilshchik goalkeeping team. Against Sokol, Alexey Smirnov played 45 minutes and did not miss.
