Astrakhanochka reserves lost twice in Zvenigorod

In the next round of the Russian handball championship among women’s youth teams, “Astrakhanochka-SSHOR” met in Zvenigorod near Moscow with the UOR team No. 2. Nikolai Izmailov’s charges lost both matches – 25:28 and 22:26.
The handball players from the Caspian capital started the first half of the first match stronger and took the lead more often. However, by the break the home team was in the lead – 12:10. In the second half of the meeting, the wards of the famous 2009 world champion Oksana Koroleva did not allow the Astrakhan handball players to catch up with themselves – 28:25. Stanislav Brusov and Kira Komarov scored 8 goals each for Astrakhanochka-SSHOR.
The Moscow Region athletes played the repeat match more confidently and deservedly won – 26:22. The best scorer in the Astrakhan team was Varvara Lazareva, who scored seven accurate shots.
