Admission for free education at the Nikita Mikhalkov Academy has begun

On April 3, the acceptance of applications for admission to the Academy of Cinematographic and Theater Arts by Nikita Mikhalkov was opened.
Applications for admission for the 2023/2024 academic year are accepted in the following areas: acting, film and television directing, production. Classes will be held under the guidance of People’s Artist of Russia Nikita Mikhalkov, People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Khotinenko and laureate of the State Prize of Russia Leonid Vereshchagin. “Thanks to the support of the Timchenko Foundation, education is free throughout the academic year. Those who wish are provided with a hostel, students receive a monthly scholarship,” the message says.
Admission to the academy will be held on a competitive basis until August 11. Training will begin in September.
Priority is given to applicants with higher specialized education and experience in the professional field. Age will also be an advantage: up to 30 years old for those who plan to enter the acting workshop, and up to 35 years old for those who want to master the skill of a producer.
“We hire talented people who are ambitious and want more,” said Academy Rector Nikita Mikhalkov. “The quality of our educational films and performances is determined by the most serious practical work, multiplied by professionalism.”
At the end of the training, students will have a final certification, and those who successfully complete it will receive a diploma of professional retraining.
