Famous actor Yevgeny Gerchakov was hospitalized in one of the capital’s clinics. As MK learned, the 74-year-old People’s Artist of Russia felt unwell this morning and immediately called an ambulance. Arriving doctors, after examining the star of Soviet Russian cinema, insisted on hospitalization.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the artist’s deterioration in health was high blood pressure.
Gerchakov himself confirmed the fact of hospitalization.
“Yes, I’m in the hospital,” the actor told MK correspondents in a quiet voice.
Gerchakov played in five dozen films during his career. Among the most famous works are “Shirley Myrli”, “Granny of Easy Virtue”, “Mom”. Despite his advanced age, Gerchakov continues to work actively. He acts in films and regularly appears on the theater stage.
