The jury decided that he was not proven guilty

The Dorogomilovsky court acquitted a man accused of one of the most mass murders committed in Moscow in the 90s. We are talking about the shooting of nine people in a sauna on Berezhkovskaya embankment.

As reported at the time “MK” , a high-profile gangster showdown occurred on April 30, 1994. Shortly before this, several criminals received an order to eliminate four people involved in cashing out “black cash.” At the same time, the criminals were given freedom of action – they were allowed to kill not only the ordered businessmen, but also witnesses. This is what happened in the end: the bandits arrived at the thermal power station building where the sauna was located, and first wounded three random visitors on the first floor, and then went up to the billiard room and killed those they planned. Five men and one woman died. Only 19 years later, one of the suspects was identified and detained.

However, during the trial in the Dorogomilovsky court, the jury found his guilt unproven. As a result, a not guilty verdict was returned. As the court’s press service reported, the decision did not enter into legal force. According to our information, the prosecutor’s office has already appealed it.
