A five-year-old resident of Rostov-on-Don suffers from a rare genetic disease called progeria. In other words, premature aging of the body. There are only 4 people living in our country with such a terrible disease. Little Rostovite is one of them. I wrote about the baby website KP.RU.

The disease deprived the girl of her hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. Her weight is only 10 kilograms, which is below normal. And because of problems with the joints, it is difficult for the child to move.

The baby differs from her peers only in her unusual appearance. According to the mother, her daughter is very sociable, but she was not accepted into kindergarten. The head of the institution could not explain the reason.

But the Rostov woman was born healthy. It was only after a while that she was found to have neonatal sclera. This rare disease causes swelling, hardening of the skin and dehydration. The baby was admitted to a regional hospital. After treatment, the sclerema disappeared. But the girl stopped growing. It was only when a genetic analysis was done that it became clear that the baby had progeria.
