A woman with a cat has been living in one of the entrances of St. Petersburg on Kondratievsky Prospekt for the third week. The lady has settled in with all the comforts – she eats, sleeps and drinks alcohol on the staircase. The cat walks by itself on the common balcony, which, according to local residents, also serves as a latrine for an interesting family.

“I’ve never seen this woman before,” says a resident of house 70/1 on Kondratievsky Avenue. “I just went down the stairs one day and saw a bunch of bags on the floor. And man lives in them. The lady is middle-aged and sociable. The cat is nice too. But it’s okay to rest for a day or two, this can still be tolerated if a person has nowhere to go. But the lady seems to have settled in for the long haul.

As MK learned, a woman moved into the entrance of a St. Petersburg high-rise building due to a conflict with the owner of the apartment she rented. Previously, she rented a one-room studio from him. I paid my rent regularly all the time. But in February I ended up in the hospital for a month and was unable to make payment on time. The owner did not agree to wait and simply threw her out the door along with her things and the cat. At the same time, I changed the locks.

– Would you kick out a tenant who was behind on payment for just a month? – the elder in the house where the woman has settled asks a counter question. – I wouldn’t. Surely the matter is completely different.

The inhabitant of the St. Petersburg front door is 52 years old. She is a third group disabled person. She does not have a St. Petersburg residence permit. The registration, as residents found out, turned out to be fake.

– We ran through the address that is in her registration. It simply doesn’t exist. Or rather, there is a street and a house, but there is no apartment in the house like the one in her registration,” the residents of the house told MK.

The neighbors did not stand on ceremony for long with the woman and the cat. The management company received complaints about the unauthorized seizure of public territory and the use of a common balcony as a latrine. Despite the obvious lawlessness and unsanitary conditions, the management company’s lawyers found no reason to kick the lady out of the front door.

“We can’t deport her,” the management company told MK.

The situation was resolved only with the help of the social service of the Kalininsky district. The woman and the cat agreed to move to a temporary shelter. But – only with things. To do this, we had to hire as many as two Gazelles. The amount of belongings a single woman had also alarmed the residents of the St. Petersburg high-rise building.

– She rented a studio with an area of ​​22 square meters. I don’t understand how the things that had to be taken out by two trucks fit there. So there are a lot of questions for the lady,” the senior housekeeper shares his concerns with the MK correspondent.

Now the “baggage” of the former resident of the entrance is located in the technical room of the social shelter. In a short time, a woman must resolve the issue of housing. So far she refuses to do this. But residents of the high-rise building can already breathe a sigh of relief. Their front door felt fresh and clean again.
