“We dreamed of a daughter almost our entire life together”

The dream of a long-awaited girl was realized by a large couple from Lyubertsy, who are raising five boys. The couple’s first baby was born into the young family (weight 3440 g, height 52 cm). A happy event took place in the maternity hospital of the Moscow Regional Center for Maternal and Child Health. “MK” decided to ask happy mother Aurika a few questions about how she and her husband have been coping with their parental responsibilities for 15 years.

— How did you meet your husband? Were there any signs of fate that preceded this?

— We met as children at camp. When the shift ended and everyone went home, we no longer kept in touch. But after 3 years they met by chance and never parted. There were probably no signs. My heart just told me one day that this was the one, the only one.

— Did you both want a large family?

– I don’t, but my husband does.

“He holds the cards in his hands, as they say.” Daughter – this is so cool. Have you and your husband dreamed of having a daughter for a long time?

— Almost our entire life together. They wanted the son to be first, and the daughter second. But we have a second son, and a third… And each time I hoped that now it would definitely be a girl, but the ultrasound again showed a boy. The husband even managed to jokingly announce to all his friends that he only makes sons.

— What do you usually call your boys: robbers, spoilers?

— While they are little, they are little babies for us. And when they start to grow up, they are already robbers.

— Have you come up with a name for your daughter?

– Dad called her. She has been with us since the first day, Elizaveta Nikolaevna.

— How does your husband usually greet you from the maternity hospital?

– Every time with trepidation. He waits, worries, arranges a party with balloons and flowers.

— Will you stop there or as God willing?

– As long as God gives, all of them are ours.

— It is already clear that your calling is motherhood. What are your and your husband’s professions?

“I wanted to be a doctor, but I had to quit my studies halfway through. It is difficult to combine studying and raising children. My husband is a car mechanic.

— How do you most like to spend your leisure time together?

— We are a sports family, and we spend our leisure time in sports: we play basketball, football… All our sons love to run around with the ball.

— What is the most important thing in raising boys?

— In my opinion, the main thing is love. We must try to support children in their small endeavors. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s a boy or a girl.

— Do your relatives help you raise your children?

“They live very far away, so we cope on our own.” It’s hard, but no one promised it would be easy.

— Do you have any big dreams?

– So that the feeling of happiness never leaves us.
