Therefore, while drinking tap water or cooking food on it is strongly not recommended. “As long as they don’t flood,” local residents are worried in public. “People were leaving, there was no water in the taps, maybe someone in a hurry did not have time to turn off the water.”

Under the news about the selfless work of power engineers who, under shelling, are restoring damaged power lines in the Shebekinsky urban district, residents leave woeful comments: “The city of Shebekino, Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, people have been sitting without electricity for a week,” wrote Tatyana from Shebekino. – They give it for two hours and turn it off. They brought the generator, but it is non-working! Another resident said that “light has not yet reached them, we have been waiting for two weeks”. Residents of Novaya Tavolzhanka are also interested in social networks, when will they get water and electricity?

And also residents who are registered in another place, but actually lived (living) in the city of Shebekino and the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka (if the administration confirms this), can qualify for social benefits – 10 and 50 thousand rubles. People, of course, are shocked by “10 thousand”.

At the same time, the shelling of the area continues. In the Shebekinsky urban district, 22 arrivals were recorded over the past day on June 13 (in the village of Belyanka, in the village of Sereda and at the Shebekino checkpoint). An enemy drone was shot down in the village of Artelne. There were no casualties or damage. On June 14, the village of Sobolevka, Valuysky urban district, fell under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Grad shells hit the private sector. Thank God, people were not hurt, but five private houses were damaged… This was announced by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov in his telegram channel.

On the evening of June 14, MK contacted Anastasia, a resident of Shebekino, who planned to evacuate the city two weeks ago:

– We left Shebekino for Belgorod. There is a very tense situation with housing, because there is a large influx of Shebekin residents. There are either completely “killed” apartments with bare walls, which now cost 10-12 thousand rubles, or very expensive ones – for 30-35 thousand rubles, and this is generally an inadequate price. Now the average category of rented apartments, suitable for ordinary people, has completely disappeared from the market. The prices have all changed. Previously, a “odnushka” cost 10 thousand rubles plus a communal apartment, and a “kopeck piece” cost 15 thousand.

Therefore, for the time being I stayed with my brother, my son and mother-in-law live with me. I’m looking for an apartment…

The husband left for Moscow while he lives there, got a job as a security guard in order to earn at least something. I work in the public sector, we are still on vacation, thanks to God, they keep our salaries …

I can’t say anything yet about whether we will return to Shebekino. Some of the acquaintances are returning, but in general there is still some kind of tense situation in the city, it seems to many that this is “the calm before the storm”.

Now the horizon is not clear, what will happen next, no one can imagine. For now, I plan to live in Belgorod. I’m afraid to return with a child to Shebekino. Electricity has not yet been restored there; they say that from June 14 they will give water, however, technical … Well, of course, the city is broken. My mother-in-law’s apartment was damaged, she hoped to the last that everything would be in order, but their house was bombed. She’s blown out the windows…

Anastasia said that, as far as she knows, the last two days in Shebekino seem to be “quieter”. Power lines are being actively restored, but the entrance to the city is closed until August 31.

– Such a question, are there many abandoned animals in the city?

– Yes very many. Cats and dogs are locked in apartments. I don’t know why the owners didn’t at least let them out?! But volunteers work on request, they are given addresses and phone numbers to contact pet owners. Terodefense workers open these apartments, trying to rescue the animals …

Also, word of mouth says that there are a lot of dead in the city. These are elderly people who could not leave, someone had a heart attack, someone died of dehydration or a stroke … That is, they open the apartment and find a body there.

– What do your friends who stayed in Shebekino say, do you have a connection with them?

I have several friends who have not left. People from the defense, volunteers come to them, bring water, some canned food, instant pasta, animal feed. They asked me to bring them gasoline, I sent an application to the administration …

Shebekintsy – who is where … One of my familiar family left for the Krasnodar Territory, simply with nothing – they put two children in a car and left, rented an apartment there. Other friends of mine left for St. Petersburg, some in Moscow, others in Voronezh or Kursk. By the way, I myself am thinking about whether I should rent an apartment in Kursk, since the situation with housing in Belgorod is so difficult? Some of my colleagues and relatives are in temporary accommodation centers (TAPs), in the dormitory of the Belgorod Institute…

You have to save. My husband received 10 thousand rubles of social benefits, but my mother-in-law and I did not. There are payments of 50 thousand rubles – for those whose housing has suffered. Most likely, the mother-in-law will receive them. Our house, thank God, was not damaged. I have it open so that I have access to our animals. I have dogs and cats, they live in the yard, they are fed by the neighbors who stayed there, we call them up.

We are slowly settling into our new place. On Tuesday I have to go to Sberbank. According to rumors, we are provided with credit holidays. I was told that my application for a credit holiday was approved.

I already worry in advance – where, what school will my son go to? The future is bleak for us. Some acquaintances are trying to take their belongings out of the city, ordering gazelles. They pay for it from 25 thousand rubles …

People gradually move away from the shock, begin to think how they should live on. But, to be honest, I can’t imagine my return to Shebekino. There is no particular desire to return, no matter how bitter it sounds …. I am already thinking about renting a normal apartment in Belgorod or Kursk and starting to arrange a child here for school. It is very difficult to explain this feeling, but the city … seemed to become a stranger to me, or something …
