A resident of the capital’s Kuzminki district sued the utility services for compensation. A toy car fell on her daughter on the playground.
As MK learned, the incident occurred in August 2021. The girl was playing on the playground when a structure unexpectedly overturned on her – a wooden car, into which the baby had just sat down. The child suffered a back injury. The girl was urgently taken to the hospital, where she was prescribed mandatory wearing of a corset.
The victim’s mother went to court. The utility workers made excuses that the car was in good working order, but when experts examined it, traces of repairs were discovered on the roof of the car and the presence of an untreated part in the form of a chip. It was not possible to determine when these defects appeared – before or after the fall.
As a result, the Kuzminsky court decided to recover 100 thousand rubles from the local utility service in favor of the mother as compensation for moral damage and 6,980 rubles spent on purchasing a corset.
