The ex-husband of Karelina, accused of treason, spoke about her arrival in Russia
Ksenia Karelina, a 33-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg, accused of high treason, returned to her hometown from Los Angeles to see her relatives. Her ex-husband Evgeniy Khavana spoke about this, the site reports KP.RU.
He noted that the woman worked as a cosmetologist in the United States, and received her second citizenship at the end of 2021. The couple divorced in the summer of 2022.
“The last time I saw her was in the summer of 2022. Her parents and relatives are in Yekaterinburg. I went to see everyone, since I hadn’t been for a long time,” said Karelina’s ex-husband.
It is worth noting that the FSB of the Russian Federation previously reported that a Los Angeles resident was involved in raising money for the Ukrainian army. In addition, in the United States she was noticed at rallies in support of Ukraine. She faces up to 20 years in prison under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code (Treason).
