The words of the tourism industry worker are confirmed by Russians who are asking prices for trips to the three-day holiday.

“In my mind, I understand that more than 100 thousand for a tour with a flight to this Soviet hotel in the off-season is impudence,” admits Muscovite Tatyana, who persuaded her husband to give her three days on March 8 in a Sochi hotel that was popular back in the USSR. “But I want to go to the sea so much that I close my eyes to it.” Before that, I asked the price for the private sector, but it was generally increased threefold compared to June, when we were there.

Let’s see where domestic tour operators offer to go in the three days remaining before the holiday, and how do they motivate clients on the occasion of Women’s Day to overpay several times for a trip that will drop in price immediately after the holidays?

“We don’t offer Egypt and Thailand on March 8,” one of the leading Russian tour operators answer the question of what they have “hot” for the holiday. – It’s a long flight to get there, and you only have 3 days (due to the ban on flights over the EU, the flight time from the Russian Federation to Egyptian resorts became 6-7 instead of the previous 4 hours – author). Therefore, I offer 4 days in Side, 160 thousand rubles for two.

– Isn’t that a lot for three days?!

– On March 7, I can send two people for 3 days to a sanatorium near Sochi for only 75 thousand rubles. Three meals a day are included, procedures are paid separately. But don’t expect buffets, it’s old school – porridge, soup, cutlet, compote, kefir at night.

More modern health complexes in the Sochi area are offered complete with a round-trip flight for amounts starting from 100 thousand rubles for two for 3-5 days. You can find them a little cheaper and a little more expensive, but that doesn’t change the meaning – the prices are steep.

In light of this, it becomes even more interesting where three Russians, tired of sanctions and economic failures, rushed to Women’s Day. In addition to the leading Turkish and Sochi rivieras, according to the tourism industry and the main air harbors of the two capitals, compatriots will go for 3-4 nights to Dubai (from 300 thousand rubles for two), Istanbul (from 200 thousand), as well as to Uzbekistan, where prices “lag behind » from Istanbul by about 50 thousand rubles. But many are sure that this is only for now. So far, the mass Russian tourist has not tried the Uzbek mountains, melons and cheap “unauthorized” shopping.
