In the Altai Territory, due to the deterioration of the flood situation, a state of emergency was introduced. The situation has worsened due to an increase in average daily temperatures and melting snow cover, reported press service of the regional government.

According to the local Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, two temporary accommodation centers have been deployed, in which there are about 70 people, including 22 children. Operational groups work in Rubtsovsk, Mikhailovsky and Shipunovsky districts. In the area of ​​the village of Tugozvonovo, Shipunovsky district, they intend to carry out blasting work on the Charysh River to clear the blockage.

634 household plots and 87 houses were flooded in the region. Eight sections of roads are also blocked. To prevent the consequences of the flood, 234 people and 92 pieces of equipment were involved.

In a number of Siberian regions, where large snow reserves have accumulated over the winter, spring floods are anxiously awaited. In some regions, the first flooding began last week. At the same time, in Khakassia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations calls weather conditions similar to those that led to the most significant flood in the region in recent times – in 2014.
