The court ordered her to return the money paid by the coach and pay a fine

The Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow recently decided to collect more than five million rubles from a businesswoman from Urzhum in favor of the head of a women’s training center. The woman was accused of not ensuring the participation of the coach at the Cannes Film Festival as a VIP guest, contrary to a previously concluded agreement.

Such services are indeed offered by some agencies. Thus, the cheapest ticket for the opening ceremony of next year’s festival will cost from 3,800 euros, for the after-party of the ceremony (this is just a service for VIP) – from 4,500 euros. Tickets for premiere shows and after-parties are cheaper, but prices are also steep. In addition, photo and video shooting on the red carpet is offered for additional money.

The plaintiff, who introduces herself as a coach, writer, psychologist, and founder of a women’s training center, also wanted to feel like a star. She paid a substantial amount of money for this opportunity and flew to Cannes, but she never had the chance to feel like a VIP guest. She demanded the money back, but only part of the amount was returned to her. Then she filed a lawsuit against the negligent organizer of an expensive tour to the stars.

As MK learned, following the results of the trial, the court decided to recover from the businesswoman the uncollected balance of the amount paid by the businesswoman – 1.64 million rubles, a penalty – another 1.64 million, losses – 478 thousand rubles, as well as a fine – also 1.64 million. In addition, she was ordered to pay court costs of 24.6 rubles. However, the court decision has already been appealed.
