President Vladimir Putin signed decree, according to which next year the Year of the Family will be held in Russia. The document recommends that senior officials take appropriate measures.
According to the decree, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova was appointed chairman of the organizing committee for the Year of the Family. The document also notes that this decision was made in order to “popularize state policy in the field of family protection” and “preserve traditional family values.”
In June 2022, Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which 2023 was declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. The mission of the year was to recognize the special status of teaching staff, including those performing mentoring activities.
